What's represented in a portrait isn't merely body parts of an individual but its purposeful functions as well.
What's projected onto a canvas of non-representational art is not simply aimless scatters of paint but the effects of discerning color, form, and even meaning or mystery.
In the art work of others, what fascinates me is the unseen hand of conscious intent, and that's what I seek to portray in my work.
Whether by exploring the elements of canvas, stretcher boards and paint, or dissecting the functional differences within the human body, art gives me the opportunity to visualize the distinguishable expressions of life.
